How does the boat work?

12 pedal stations surround a central bar and combine to propel a single paddle wheel in the rear of the boat.

What is included in my ticket price?

We provide coolers, ice, bottled water, cups, and koozies.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of parking located within Queen City Marina.  Please note there are times when the marina charges for parking.  During these times please let the gate attendant know that you are riding the CycleBoat and you will not be charged.

Is there a bathroom?

Yes, we have a single person bathroom on board.

Are there any age restrictions?

Yes. Public mixer tours have a minimum age of 13.  Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  Private full boat charters have a minimum age of 8.

Do I have to pedal the entire time?

No, we have an outboard engine to help with docking and added propulsion.  Guests can pedal as much or as little as they like.

What should I bring?

Adult beverages, food, booking confirmation, valid ID. Bring appropriate clothing/jackets as it can be cooler on the water!

What shouldn’t I bring?

No glass, smoking or drugs are allowed on our boat.

Is there music?

Yes, we have Bluetooth audio if guests would like to bring music otherwise we have our own playlists.

Any restrictions?

No Smoking, No drug use, No pets, No underage drinking.

What is the cancellation policy?

For full boat charters, cancellation must be made at least 7 days prior to trip in order to receive a full refund. If cancelled within 7 days or if no show, no refund will be provided. 

For public mixer tours, cancellation must be made at least 7 days prior to trip in order to receive a full refund.  Cancellation up to 48 hours prior to departure will receive a voucher for another trip.  Cancellation less than 48 hours from departure or no shows will receive no refund.

What if it rains?

Queen City Cycle Boat runs rain or shine, but if severe weather or heavy winds are a possibility we reserve the right to cancel a trip.  If we do have to cancel due to weather concerns we can either offer a full refund or try to book you on another trip.

Can I tip the crew?

Absolutely! If you felt the captain and crew provided you with a great experience feel free to leave them with a tip.  Cash and Venmo options will be available. Suggested tips are $150 + for private boat charters and $10+ per person for public charters.

Is there a minimum amount of people on mixer tours?

Yes, mixer tours will only be confirmed after 8 people (these can all be from separate parties) book the same date and time. Credit cards won’t be charged until the 8 person minimum is met.
